Spacious computer desk with underlighting

A customer of mine asked me to build a simple desk for his pc and work. From the picture you can see a spacious desk, coupled with shelving and underlighting, which made the desk easy to work at throughout the night.

A House rabbit who had a habit of escaping through the cat flap of this animal lovers house, needed that getaway blocked off with a handy folding door. Cats can still get over, but rabbit’s with a few extra pounds can’t! success! Not to worry, the rabbit is happy and still has the run of the house.

Custom made corner tv caninet for HDTV: Stages

Chalenging cabinets are my specialty, so i was delighted to make this unusualy shaped tv cabinet for a customer in brentwood. I started off with the making of the top.

From there I could get the overall size and shape of the cabinet.

With the carcuss made, time to make the shelves.

The cabinet is coming along nice, with the shelves in place.

It then needs cutouts at the back to allow for cables. Rounding of the cut outs to insure cable saftey.

Making sure the top fits nicely, time to make the doors.

Doors assembled and hung, all it needs now is to add the plynth and a coat of gloss.

With it painted, all that was left was to fit the cabinet….

Job done.

Custom pc desk

The idea for this one was that there should be as much work space as possible, but at the same time should not be taking up huge amounts of room, so I suggested a wall to wall work top,keeping it to one side of the room and at the same time to have enough room above and below, for storage. As you can see from the picture there is ample space for two people and their PC’s to fit comfortably.

Wooden Venetians - large kitchen windows

Here we have 2 blinds that were fitted in a kitchen with 2 very large windows; the blinds were too heavy and awkward for the owners to manage and fit. I was fixing to plasterboard so taking the weight of the blinds into consideration, No-nails bonding solution and plaz-plugs were used to ensure a secure fitting.

Balcony restoration

A complete overhaul of this balcony was needed, it was seriously in need of repair when the new owners bought the house. I stripped the old paint away clearing any rust and flakey paint, recoating with a 12 year guarantee exterior paint. Any rotten floorboard treads were replaced to ensure safety.

Project: Dave’s custom radiator cover

With grandchildren around, Dave needed them to be protected against the heat of the radiator, yet in order to keep out the winter chills he also needed the radiator to be on.
Taking on the project, we discussed the basics and any special preferences; it was noted that as the room was largely decorated with lightly stained pine, the radiator cover would need to match.
